Terms of Engagement

These terms cover use of this website and set out the basis on which we provide our services. A specific consulting engagement is governed by its own written agreement, which prevails over anything here if the two differ.
About us
This website is operated by Holdfast Assurance, a sole proprietorship based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("we", "us", "our"). By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We provide ISO certification readiness consulting (ISO/IEC 27001, 27701, 42001 and ISO 9001), DPDP Act advisory, and managed vulnerability management. The scope, deliverables, timeline and fees of any engagement are defined in a separate written proposal or agreement.
We do not issue certifications. Certification is granted only by an independent, accredited certification body (CB) following its own audit. Our role is to prepare you for that audit. We do not, and cannot, guarantee that a CB will issue a certificate — that decision rests solely with the CB.
No guarantee of outcome
We bring professional skill and experience to every engagement, but certification depends on factors within your control (implementing and maintaining the management system, providing evidence, and acting on findings) and on the independent judgement of the certification body. We therefore do not warrant any particular audit result.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete information and reasonable access to the people and systems in scope.
- Implement and maintain the management system and controls; readiness is a joint effort, not something done to you.
- Make decisions that are yours to make — we advise, you decide and act.
Confidentiality
We treat information you share during an engagement as confidential and use it only to deliver the agreed services. Where an engagement involves access to sensitive systems or data, confidentiality obligations are set out in the engagement agreement. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in writing and agreed before work begins. Unless stated otherwise, quotes are fixed-fee and milestone-based. Payment terms are set out in the relevant proposal or invoice.
Intellectual property
The content, design and materials on this website are owned by Holdfast Assurance and may not be copied or reused without permission. Templates and documents we prepare for you during an engagement are licensed for your own use as set out in the engagement agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Website use
This site is provided "as is" for general information. While we aim to keep it accurate and available, we do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and nothing on it constitutes a binding offer or professional advice for your specific situation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
